Installation Instructions – Step by Step

Installing an Essve expander is simple and requires minimal preparation. Follow these four steps for an approved installation:

• Position the Component & Drill: Place the fixture (e.g., the steel stud) in position. Drill a 16 mm hole straight through the fixture and down into the concrete to a drilling depth of at least 130 mm.
• Clean the Hole: No advanced blow-cleaning is required – a simple rough cleaning by moving the drill bit up and down in the hole a couple of times is sufficient.
• Drive in the Expander: Hammer the expansion screw in until the flange nut sits tightly against the fixture. The total installation depth should be 117 mm (effective embedment depth: 95 mm).
• Tighten to the Correct Torque: Use a 24 mm socket and a torque wrench. Tighten the flange nut to the prescribed torque of 120 Nm. As the nut is tightened, the bolt is forced upward, causing the stainless steel clip to expand powerfully against the concrete wall.
