Description

All-current sensitive residual current circuit breaker of type B that can handle all types of fault currents: pure alternating current, smoothed pulsating direct current and pure direct current. Also handles currents containing mixed frequencies from 0 to 1000Hz. Type B is prescribed in, among other things, the following types of installations: charging stations for electric vehicles, frequency converters, UPS, welding, escalators, elevators, etc. Installations that generate fault currents with direct current above 6mA make a regular residual current circuit breaker of type A completely ineffective and will not trip. The RCD is not intended for pure DC systems or AC systems with frequencies other than 50Hz.
