The beam shoe is made of hot-dip galvanized steel sheet (S250GD+Z275), which provides excellent corrosion protection and long service life in demanding environments. With its well-thought-out design, this beam shoe is perfect for mounting in wood as well as concrete, lightweight concrete, brick and steel.

Installation guide and recommendations

  • To achieve optimal strength and comply with current building codes, the following guidelines should be considered during installation:
  • Sizing: The height of the beam shoe should always correspond to at least 2/3 of the height of the secondary beam.
  • Attachment: There should be a distance of at least 20 mm from the top edge of the secondary beam to the top nail hole.
  • Fit: The width of the fitting may exceed the width of the beam by a maximum of 3 mm.
  • Installation: Always use anchor nails 4.0 mm or anchor screws 4.8 mm for the nail holes. For the bolt holes, use M8 or M10 bolts depending on the requirements of the substrate.
