Description

Construction Screw-W CorrSeal (WAF) is made of hardened carbon steel, with C4-classified surface treatment. The screw's large head diameter provides very high clamping force during installation and the low design of the screw head provides a low construction height, which can be an advantage in certain installations. The screw is equipped with fiber inserts in the tip, which gives the screw a low screw-in torque in the wood and minimizes the risk of cracking. On screws that are longer, there is an extra milling thread directly after the regular wood thread, this to facilitate the installation of longer and thicker screws. The underside of the screw head is designed so that it will fit correctly when installed in beam and post shoes. The screw is equipped with a TX bit holder.

Essve Construction Screw WAF is used to join timber and when installing fittings, post shoes and the like - an excellent replacement for French wood screws. The screw does not need to be pre-drilled, which reduces a torque during installation. The larger screw head contributes to high clamping force and under the head the screw has a slightly tapered design to fit when installing beams and post shoes. The screw is ideal for timber, chipboard and plywood but also for joining solid wood such as laminated timber, glulam and LVL. The longer screws have an extra milling thread after the regular wood thread to facilitate the installation of coarser and longer dimensions of screws. Recommended speed: 400–1200/min.
