Description

Benders Batten ladders are used on houses with a facade height of no more than 4 meters and a roof slope of no more than 45 degrees to safely get up to the chimney, roof bridge, etc. The requirements may differ between different areas. Batten ladders may require being supplemented with a safety hook for a lifeline. Always check what applies in your area. Batten ladders are easily installed by hooking the brackets over both the roof tile and the batten in the lowest part of the tile. Note that the batten must not be spliced or weakened by, for example, twigs where the batten ladders are to be placed.

When installing batten ladders, the tile needs to be derailed. This prevents the tile from being lifted. In the case of folded clay tiles, both the upper and lower tiles must be derailed. The batten steps must be mounted in a row directly above each other and must not be displaced laterally. The batten step is adjustable and can be used for batten thicknesses of 25-45 mm. Batten steps cc 350 mm are used for our roof tile Twin 2-cup clay tile.
