Test Instrument Phasen Volt Stick Sound 230-1000VAC Elma
Description
Volt Stick Sound is an instrument that, without a metallic contact, indicates the presence of 230V alternating voltage in cables, sockets, switches, etc. An electric field is indicated by a strong red light at the tip and an audible signal. When the detection of an electric field is indicated by a light signal only, the batteries should be replaced. Examples of applications include locating breaks in cables outside the insulation (but not shielded cables), checking fuses in electrical panels and junction boxes, distinguishing between phase and neutral in both single-phase and three-phase installations, identifying live wires in junction boxes, checking switched-on switches, locating faulty lamps in series connections (e.g. Christmas tree lights), checking for voltage in ungrounded wall sockets and checking fuses through the glass on the fuse holder.
