Sheet Metal Paint Protäck V 4 Litre Black Hagmans

Description

Waterborne, semi-matt and quick-drying sheet metal paint for roofs >15° slope and facades outdoors.

Area of application:

Used as a topcoat on untreated or previously painted galvanized (galvanized) steel and sheet metal surfaces, industrially coated sheet metal surfaces - coatings of polyurethane, PURAL, PUREX, polyester, acrylic and aged PVC plastisol. (Not suitable for PVF2-type sheet metal.)

Pre-treatment:

Before painting, the surfaces must be dry, firm and well cleaned of dirt, loose paint and grease and an adhesion test must be done according to the Gitterschnitt method. The surfaces are washed with Hagmans Målartvättäv Roof/Facade. Oxidized galvanized surfaces are treated with Hagmans Betvätska. Rusty surfaces are cleaned by sandblasting or mechanical wire brushing. The previously rusty surfaces are then primed once or twice (depending on the degree of rust) with Hagmans Plåtprimer. Aluminum surfaces are pickled and primed before applying paint.

Instructions for use (includes application):

The paint is mixed well before use. The paint can be thinned 5 - 15% by volume with water if necessary. Avoid painting in direct sunlight or when there is a risk of dew or rain. New unpainted surfaces: Apply Protäck V with a brush, roller or sprayer (e.g. Wagner PS 3.29 airless with a suitable nozzle). Apply at least two coats. (Minimum 120µm dry). Three coats provide even more effective long-term protection. Maintenance painting: After cleaning and removing loose paint, the bare, stainless steel sheet surface is spot-coated with Protäck V. Rusty, cleaned steel surfaces are primed with Hagmans Plåtprimer up to 2 times depending on the amount of rust. The roof is overpainted with Protäck V to approximately 120 µm dry film thickness.
