Description

screw intended for insulation boards made of EPS or XPS, in qualities up to 300 kPa.

The screw is used to

1.  tie two or more insulation boards together
2.  attach insulation to concrete in piled foundations

Where the function is to bind two or more insulation boards together, the screw is screwed all the way down until the underside of the hat meets the insulation.

In the case of piled foundations where the ground under the foundation can sink over time, the screw is used to ensure that the insulation continues to lie tightly against the concrete over time. In such constructions, the cap of the screw is left 2-4 cm above the insulation before casting to be completely enclosed by and cast into concrete. The screw's threads prevent the insulation from falling down while the cap sits firmly anchored in the concrete.

The screw is preferably screwed into the insulation using a screwdriver and suitable mounting bits.
