Description

Untreated pearlboard panel in pine from Baseco. The pine raw material comes from late-growth forest in Lapland, which has a large proportion of heartwood and lighter sapwood at the edges. The core is reddish and varies in tone. The drying down to an 8 percent moisture ratio can cause cracks in and around the twig. This untreated pearlboard panel is a good basis for those who want full control over the surface treatment of the inner panel. Please note that the minimum order is 10 square meters.

What is pearl pontoon?

Perlspont is a type of wooden panel where the name comes from the small elevation at the joint that resembles a pearl, when you see the panel in cross-section. This bead has an important function, namely to cast a small shadow over the drying gaps between the panel boards. When the wood moves, there may be a gap between the boards, but thanks to the bead, the gap becomes less visible to the eye.
