Digital Lock Case dKey Startkit V2 Basic Dormakaba

Description

The Dormakaba dKey MTL 9291-II is a battery-powered hybrid lock that communicates via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). The lock is opened via smartphone (Android/Apple operating system). All electronics are integrated inside the lock case and no visible devices need to be mounted on the outside of the door leaf. The lock also works completely mechanically with cylinder and door handle.

The digital keys are administered in the dKey Admin app on your phone. With the app, you can distribute and manage keys - even when you need to give someone temporary access to your home. All technology for mobile access is based on BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) and is built into the lock case. So smart that it is invisible.

A token is used for each user or accessory that is connected. Admin also needs a token. We recommend that two people in the household are admins on dKey. Partly so that the admin can set and receive notifications when the door is used, but also to minimize the risk of being locked out.

The lock housing and strike plate are designed for symmetrical door openings and fit in doors manufactured around 1980 and later. If it says “SYM” on your old lock, dKey will fit without any damage. For doors before 1980 when the standard for lock housings was asymmetrical, some machining is required in the frame and door leaf. If it says “30” this needs to be done. If it does not say SYM (or 30), you must take out the lock box in your door and check that the box is symmetrical on the back so that it is possible to mount dKey without damage. After installation, a check is made via the app to ensure that the lock has been installed correctly. The lock is reversible. dKey should be mounted with either double cylinders or knobs with a spring-back function.
