Description

The screw is made of hardened steel with CorrSeal surface treatment, C4. It is equipped with TX-holder/bits. The screw has a milling function at the beginning of the thread which eliminates the need for pre-drilling, it is also equipped with an upper clamping thread that generates a good clamping force during installation that helps to straighten twisted boards. The clamping thread also helps to hold the decking board in place after installation is complete, which has resulted in the head being able to have a smaller diameter and still have better holding power than a traditional countersunk head shape. The head of the screw is cylindrical with milling grooves underneath for a fine countersink without spikes. The advantage of the cylindrical head is that it does not split the wood when countersunk. Essve Decking Screw Essdeck Max is also available in stainless steel A2 and A4. Essve Decking Screw Essdeck Max meets the CE requirement according to EN14592. Essve CorrSeal surface treatment is type approved by SITAC no. 0075/05.

Essve Decking Screw Essdeck Max is intended for mounting decking timber etc. to wooden joists. The small head gives a nice result without cracks and chips. The high clamping force simplifies the installation of twisted decking boards. The screw has the same steel quality as our construction screws to handle applications with slightly higher requirements, e.g. larger balconies and patios with several levels. For exposed environments or structures with a lot of movement, e.g. marine environments, pool areas, fences, railings etc. and when mounting teak-like decking timber such as Cumaru, Kirai and Siberian larch, decking screws of stainless quality are always recommended. Recommended RPM: 400–1200/min.
