Description

Throughly hardened screw that is driven directly into a drilled hole, without a plug. It has a so-called hi-low thread that provides good load values and facilitates installation. Bright zinc plated surface treatment is suitable for indoor installation in corrosivity class C1. According to ISO 9223, corrosivity class C1 is characterized by indoor environments with heated spaces, low humidity and insignificant amounts of pollution, e.g. offices, shops, schools, hotels. Essve concrete screw ECS-C is assessed in the Building Product Assessment with Assessment Totally Accepted. Essve concrete screw ECS is an affordable concrete screw for simpler applications where installation does not require, for example, ETA approval.

Installation

An impact driver is recommended for installation. See installation instructions. The concrete screw does not require a pre-tensioning torque to ensure the attachment, which means that when the screw has reached the substrate, all tightening should be avoided. The final tightening torque applied should not be greater than what is required to hold what is to be fixed in place. The tightening torque specified is the maximum tightening torque, not to be confused with other products that require a pre-tensioning torque (e.g. expander). Concrete screw ECS is fully hardened and therefore sensitive to oblique screwing. The drill hole should be 90 degrees to the substrate. Concrete screw ECS does not require blowing out the drill hole before installation, but the drill hole must be deep enough for the concrete screw to reach the correct setting depth despite any drilling dust remaining in the hole.
